This leadership role offers the opportunity to define and implement a company-wide information security strategy in a dynamic and fast-paced tech environment. You'll play a key role in driving compliance efforts, managing audits, leading risk assessments, and establishing proactive security policies. Accountabilities:

  • Lead and execute compliance initiatives across SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and related frameworks.
  • Develop and manage a company-wide information security program aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement technical controls and ensure audit readiness.
  • Design and maintain security strategies, policies, standards, and awareness training.
  • Respond to client security due diligence requests and contractual obligations.
  • Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and penetration testing initiatives.
  • Drive DevSecOps practices, embedding security into the software development lifecycle.
  • Manage third-party risk assessments and vendor compliance.
  • Oversee incident response planning and lead investigations when security events occur.
  • Document policies and procedures while leveraging automation tools for evidence gathering.
  • Track, optimize, and report on security spend and resource allocation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in information security, compliance, or risk management, with experience leading enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Deep knowledge of frameworks and standards like SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, NIST, and HIPAA.
  • Demonstrated success managing audits and security documentation, including automated tools and evidence workflows.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), identity and access management, and encryption.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, especially with engineering, legal, and IT teams.
  • Prior experience supporting client security requirements and handling due diligence processes.
  • Exceptional communication skills — able to convey complex technical issues to non-technical audiences.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and capable of leading projects independently.
  • Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, or equivalent.
