About Us :
The Chronicle of Philanthropy is the pre-eminent source of journalism and professional development for the nation’s nonprofits and foundations. We are committed to influencing how individuals get engaged in the nonprofit sector, how nonprofits and foundations can do better to solve major social problems, and how we advance professional and career skills.
Our organization is growing fast after we transformed into a nonprofit organization, spinning off from our parent company, the Chronicle of Higher Education. A key next step in our expansion is to find someone committed to using their nonprofit sector expertise and their journalism skills to create content that helps professionals who drive change and impact at nonprofits nationwide work smarter.
Job Summary:
The Senior Editor, Nonprofit Intelligence, plays a key role in producing smart, actionable journalism that helps nonprofit professionals lead with impact. You’ll help shape the strategy of the Nonprofit Intelligence unit and lead the creation of digital reports; produce and host skills-building webinars; and connect with readers by contributing to our weekly Nonprofit Adviser newsletter.
This is a hands-on role for a sharp editor and an engaging communicator who thrives on turning complex challenges into practical insights — and knows how to create meaningful learning experiences for busy professionals. You’ll work closely with the editorial, events, and creative teams to deliver content that informs, inspires, and equips leaders across the nonprofit sector.
The senior editor reports to the Chief Professional Program Officer, who oversees the Nonprofit Intelligence unit.
